Tammie Axworthy is a high-energy stylist, salon owner, and educator with over 30 years behind the chair. What started as a part-time job shampooing at 18 quickly turned into a lifelong love affair with hair, creativity, and the magic of salon culture.
In 2018, Tammie opened The Hair Boutique and has grown it into a skilled, close-knit team of eight – a team she’s fiercely proud of and deeply committed to mentoring. Known for her expertise, fun, and “no-fluff” approach, Tammie thrives on helping stylists sharpen their craft and build confidence through real-world techniques.
As a Technical Educator and National Artist with Goldwell for 24 years, Tammie has created and delivered custom education programs across North America and proudly instructs the Goldwell Master Colourist program at the Toronto and New York City Academies. Her career highlights include being featured in Salon Magazine, serving as Second Tech Chair and Judge for the Skills Ontario Hairstyling Competition, and touring with the Kao Creative Xperience Team – creating show looks and presenting on stage.
Tammie has worked backstage with the Odete DaSilva Hair Team for fashion weeks throughout North America and Europe, and travelled to Milan to be part of the Goldwell ColourSphere 2025 event, working alongside international artists on stage and behind the scenes.
This year, Tammie added another exciting chapter to her career: she founded BeautiFoil, a professional hair foil company created by a stylist for stylists, built from years of hands-on experience and a passion for tools that truly perform.
Whether she’s behind the chair, leading education, or building her team, Tammie brings passion, precision, and a whole lot of heart to everything she does!
Ashley Milton
Stylist / Rainbow Hair Expert
Hi, I’m Ashley Milton, a hairstylist with 10 years of experience and a passion for creating hair that makes people feel confident and amazing.
My love of hair came at an early age. I graduated from the Hairstyling Program at Fanshawe College in 2016 and started my apprenticeship under Tammie’s mentoring. I enjoy learning from the team and taking specialized hair education courses.
I specialize in blonde colouring, grey blending, fun creative colours and cuts. I love bringing my clients’ hair goals to life—whether that’s a subtle refresh or a bold transformation.
When I’m not behind the chair, I’m a twin mom, balancing hair, life, and a whole lot of fun. I truly believe great hair can change how you feel, and my goal is for every client to leave my chair feeling happy, empowered, and feeling like completely themselves.

Sarah Poremba
Senior Stylist / Bridal Hair Enthusiast
When I was six, I decided the Kmart photo salon didn’t quite nail my curls – so I grabbed the curling iron and I did it myself. The rest is history. With 15 years behind the chair, I strive to be a well-rounded stylist known for my love of formal styling and creating updos that last through every happy tear, hug, and dance floor movement. I’m especially passionate about bridal hair and creating custom colours – particularly blondes, reds, and coppers – helping clients find shades that feel natural, flattering, and totally their own.
When I’m not in the salon, you can find me building community through local festivals or getting my sweat on at CrossFit. I love connecting with my clients, building real relationships, and creating wearable, personalized looks you can actually recreate at home.

Amber Harvey
Stylist / Blonde & Bridal Hair Enthusiast
My journey into hairstyling began as a happy accident. In high school, I planned to pursue interior design, but when my co-op placement wasn’t available, the placement coordinator suggested I try hairstyling instead. The moment I saw how hair could be transformed—and how good it could make someone feel—I knew I had found my thing. I was introduced to The Hair Boutique by stylist and best friend Ashley, and I’m now proud to be in my sixth year with the team.
I’m known for special occasion styling, bridal hair, and creating standout colours and cuts that fit your lifestyle—while still feeling a little bit exciting. My goal is always the same: for you to leave my chair feeling confident, beautiful, and genuinely happy.
When I’m not at the salon, I’m usually hanging out with my husband and my two adorable senior long-haired Wiener dogs, Vienna and Bailey. They are basically my little shadows and the cutest part of my off-time.

Tara Roberts (Crump)
Senior Stylist / Updo Creator
Hi, I’m Tara – a licensed hair stylist with over 20 years in the industry, and I still genuinely love what I do. My passion for hair started in high school through co-ops and placements at salons around Brantford. After an amazing school experience in Toronto, I came back to Brantford to finish my apprenticeship, and I’ve been building my skills ever since.
I feel really grateful for the talented stylists who mentored me along the way, and I’m always inspired by how fast our industry evolves. Staying current with trends and techniques is something I truly enjoy. I love getting to know my clients and figuring out what will suit their lifestyles so their hair feels beautiful and realistic to maintain.
I joined The Hair Boutique in February 2021, and it’s been such a great fit. From modern colouring techniques to special occasion styling and updos, I put a little extra love into every appointment—and my goal is always for you to leave the salon feeling confident, refreshed, and fabulous.

Vanessa Spadafora
Senior Stylist / Hairpainting and Balayage Specialist
With over 12 years of experience behind the chair, I specialize in highlights, balayage, and hair painting that look natural and dimensional, but also warm and bright.
I focus on creating customized colour that enhances your features while keeping your hair healthy and low maintenance. I believe in listening first, educating my clients, and then delivering results you’ll love.
When I’m not doing hair, I’m golfing or lounging around the house.

Carly Mage
I always thought hair was just a hobby-for me until I shadowed my cousin Tammie in the salon and fell in love with the craft. The love of hair runs in the family!
I graduated from the Voila Institute of Hair Design and discovered a passion for colour, cutting and updos. I love getting creative every day. What’s my favorite part? Seeing a full look come together and knowing I helped someone feel their best. Check out my Google Reviews!!
When I’m not building my hair skills and working on clients, I’m assisting Tammie with her photoshoots and her new business BeautiFoil. In my spare time I love building “Book Nooks” and Knitting.
Shelby Hager
Hairstylist / Administration
I’m Shelby! I grew up in the world of competitive dance, so hair and makeup were always part of my life – and something I’ve loved for as long as I can remember. I completed my Bachelor’s degree at the University of Guelph and then earned my Graduate Certificate in Human Resources at Conestoga College in 2020.
Fun Fact: Tammie Axworthy has been my hairstylist since I was seven, and when she offered me a part-time job managing the front desk, I jumped at the chance. I quickly fell in love with all things hair, and I’m proud to share that I completed my four-year full hairstyling apprenticeship in January 2026, officially becoming a licensed stylist.
I’m passionate about styling, colour, and updos, and I’m currently very quickly building a clientele! My goal is to make sure you leave feeling confident, refreshed, and truly taken care of – whether it’s a simple touch-up or a full glam moment.
